I'm Norbert. I'm a linguist and world traveler. I grew up in the Polish contryside and spent my formative years learning how to speak other languages and observe other cultures through an anthropological lens. I'm motivated by cultural experiences and make traveling to new places a part of my lifestyle.
Ecolinguist came to be after traveling in my early years. I set sail to Southeast Asia, and I had back-packed my way through many diverse countries and met beautiful people along the way. This period of my life was enlightening. It was then that I realized the power of language as a tool for communication and human experience.
Inspired by my travels, I looked to explore how I might be able to share my language and culture with others. Poland has a rich history and due to its central location has always been the bridge between the West and the East. It’s produced many bright minds and inspired democratic movements in the region and across the globe.
It became apparent that to achieve my goal of sharing Polish culture I needed to create an e-learning system to share a bit of my cultural heritage with others.
The Ecolinguist platform is an immensely important project of mine. I take pride in my Polish roots, and I wish to share my experiences and uniquely Polish perspective with those who are interested in my culture beyond the stereotypes. I'm passionate about my work as a teacher, and I'm an evangelist of cross-cultural exchange -- that's the Ecolinguist way.
I believe in the power of human connection. That's why my lessons are conversation focused and community driven.
